Overview

Organizations rarely fail for lack of talent. They fail in the seams: commitments that live in one head, meetings that decide nothing, status that arrives too late, hand-offs that lose half the message, and lessons paid for twice. Nineteen skills teach the whole organization how to run: one shared Foundation for every seat, then a track for each level, from front-line staff to the top. Five pillars carry it: One Picture, Rhythm Over Heroics, Loss-Free Hand-Offs, Right-Level Ownership, and The Learning Loop. It runs on whiteboards and one-page formats inside the structure you already have.

Pillars

  • One Picture
  • Rhythm Over Heroics
  • Loss-Free Hand-Offs
  • Right-Level Ownership
  • The Learning Loop

What you will be able to do

  • Apply the shared MRO operating standards — the five-beat Cadence Cycle, the Meeting Spine, and Flow Lanes — to the participant's own current work.
  • Operate as a reliable contributor: track commitments in a Task Ledger, report status in the Four-D UpLine, participate to the Ready Seat standard, and keep records to the Clean Trail standard.
  • Run a team on a visible rhythm: map the drumbeat, lead the daily huddle, delegate with the Echo Check, and coordinate and escalate across team lines by rule.
  • Synchronize departments and decide at speed: build a Sync Grid, write a Choice Sheet, run a Decision Table, and stand up a Signal Board with a Risk Rail.
  • Govern by intent: write a Compass Statement, set a Trigger List, hold altitude with a pre-decided Storm Footing, and institutionalize the Harvest Review.

Terminal learning objectives

One per module, stated as action, condition, and standard. The standard is what a learner must demonstrate; it is observable and checkable.

  1. M1

Foundation — The Shared Operating System

    Action
Apply the shared MRO operating standards — the five-beat Cadence Cycle, the Meeting Spine, and Flow Lanes — to the participant's own current work.
    Condition
Given the common conditions stated in How to Use.
    Standard
Participant maps one real effort onto all five Cadence Cycle beats and names any skipped beat, writes a four-vertebra Meeting Spine for a real recurring meeting, and correctly lane-sorts a ten-item information set with reasons stated.
  2. M2

    Track 1 — Contributor

    Action
Operate as a reliable contributor: track commitments in a Task Ledger, report status in the Four-D UpLine, participate to the Ready Seat standard, and keep records to the Clean Trail standard.
    Condition
Given the common conditions stated in How to Use.
    Standard
Participant produces a Task Ledger with three real commitments in all four fields, a real one-screen Four-D UpLine readable in sixty seconds with a specific Drag ask, a headline-first update delivered in a mock meeting with an echoed action item, and a One Home / True Name plan for one owned document type.
  3. M3

    Track 2 — Team Leader & Manager

    Action
Run a team on a visible rhythm: map the drumbeat, lead the daily huddle, delegate with the Echo Check, and coordinate and escalate across team lines by rule.
    Condition
Given the common conditions stated in How to Use.
    Standard
Participant produces a one-page team drumbeat map with every event tied to a decision or reader, leads a timed huddle keeping all three rounds inside ten minutes, completes a five-element hand-off whose Echo Check catches a planted error, and writes ladder rules covering all four rise conditions.
  4. M4

    Track 3 — Senior Leadership

    Action
Synchronize departments and decide at speed: build a Sync Grid, write a Choice Sheet, run a Decision Table, and stand up a Signal Board with a Risk Rail.
    Condition
Given the common conditions stated in How to Use.
    Standard
Participant team builds a Sync Grid with every dependency confirmed aloud, each participant drafts a six-block Choice Sheet on a live decision, the team runs a mock Decision Table that decides and logs at least two items inside the timebox, and each participant sketches a Signal Board passing the three rules with one complete Risk Rail entry.
  5. M5

    Track 4 — Executive & Board

    Action
Govern by intent: write a Compass Statement, set a Trigger List, hold altitude with a pre-decided Storm Footing, and institutionalize the Harvest Review.
    Condition
Given the common conditions stated in How to Use.
    Standard
Participant produces a four-part Compass that a partner two levels down can decide from unaided, a Trigger List of ten or fewer items each tied to an executive-only decision, a Storm Footing card naming group, cadence, voice, and log, and chairs a mini Harvest Review producing two owned, dated changes.
