About this course
Mission-Ready Operations for school districts: one operating cadence for every level, from teachers and office staff to the cabinet and board.
Organizations rarely fail for lack of talent. They fail in the seams: commitments that live in one head, meetings that decide nothing, status that arrives too late, hand-offs that lose half the message, and lessons paid for twice. Nineteen skills teach the whole organization how to run: one shared Foundation for every seat, then a track for each level, from front-line staff to the top. Five pillars carry it: One Picture, Rhythm Over Heroics, Loss-Free Hand-Offs, Right-Level Ownership, and The Learning Loop. It runs on whiteboards and one-page formats inside the structure you already have.
Crestline Independent School District, 1,100 staff across eleven campuses, missed the rollout of its new curriculum and assessment platform by six weeks two semesters ago and nearly lost its anchor foundation grant doing it.
What you will be able to do
- Apply the shared MRO operating standards — the five-beat Cadence Cycle, the Meeting Spine, and Flow Lanes — to the participant's own current work.
- Operate as a reliable contributor: track commitments in a Task Ledger, report status in the Four-D UpLine, participate to the Ready Seat standard, and keep records to the Clean Trail standard.
- Run a team on a visible rhythm: map the drumbeat, lead the daily huddle, delegate with the Echo Check, and coordinate and escalate across team lines by rule.
- Synchronize departments and decide at speed: build a Sync Grid, write a Choice Sheet, run a Decision Table, and stand up a Signal Board with a Risk Rail.
- Govern by intent: write a Compass Statement, set a Trigger List, hold altitude with a pre-decided Storm Footing, and institutionalize the Harvest Review.
Who it is for
Every seat in the district. Everyone completes the Foundation, then the track for their level: teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, and office staff; grade-level leads, department chairs, and assistant principals; principals and directors; and the superintendent’s cabinet and school board members.
This edition's scenarios, examples, and vocabulary are set in a school district. The objectives and standards are the same in every edition.
